If you are reading this, you’re probably wondering how to cure psoriasis in general. And less likely, how to cure psoriasis with carrots. The answer is simple enough. How To Cure Psoriasis with Carrots

For those that wanted to know how to cure psoriasis with carrots and clicked on this website with the thought of just rubbing carrot juice on the skin, sorry to break the news but that definitely wont work. Thankfully carrots do play a major part in curing the skin disorder psoriasis but unfortunately not in the topical sense but in the edible sense.

Note: make sure to keep your own sense in tact because psoriasis can be very stressful. Stress can be very counter productive when fighting psoriasis. So eating carrots like Bugz Bunny may be in vein.

By not being able to lose a nasty appearing skin problem you can understand the stress and desperation that comes with the territory.

Psoriasis brings desperation. Desperate people may feel like they have nothing to lose. People have tried rubbing the strangest things on their skin with the hopes of alleviation.

For example sufferers have tried banana peels to mud off the ground. Kim Kardashian herself, has even rubbed breast milk on her psoriasis lesions.

A healthy diet consisting of fresh or steamed carrots, portioned appropriately, and eaten throughout the week can put psoriasis in check.

Some medications prescribed by doctors consists of tar. Yes tar! Tar for the roads? Yes! It’s the same smelly tar from the street. I’m not kidding. Made to treat psoriasis and prescribed by dermatologists mostly everywhere. It does not cure psoriasis.

In fact, nothing will cure psoriasis by topical application. The reason for this is, psoriasis is an internal problem with an external symptom. To get rid of the external symptom you have to get rid of the internal problem which is toxicity and deficiency.

“So if I eat carrots? That will rid my psoriasis?” Yes, but those carrot are gonna need some help.

Quick Lesson on Health

What most people would consider healthy or unhealthy food is highly under-rated. What does it really mean to be healthy or unhealthy? A symptom in the open? If we look deeper this is not always the case. Symptoms don’t usually appear right away. Disease manifests subtly overtime mostly by simply eating and not eating certain foods.

Certain foods are considered bad for a reason. They hold little to no nutritional value and are loaded with bad elements that promote the presence of overwhelming amounts of free radicals.

Eating too much toxins and inflammatory foods is toxicity. These toxic foods take up about 90% of the grocery store. They are every where and should be avoided, especially in the time of healing. Read my Don’t List on what foods to avoid.

Not eating what the body requires to thrive such as vitamins and nutrients is deficiency.

Both toxicity and deficiency combined overtime is a recipe for disaster skin soup. Psoriasis

Deficiency is also the problem. Deficiency is not eating enough nutrients the body so desperately needs.

Are you still wondering how to cure psoriasis with carrots? To better specify the answer. In order to cure your psoriasis by eating carrots, you have to eat them often and without eating counterproductive foods. Furthermore, you have to practice this life style for several months to almost a whole year.

Carrot Benefits

  • Anti-inflammatory

The Anti-Inflammatory Vitamins in Carrots

A Vitamin. Carrots contain small amounts of vitamin A. Trace amounts that are still very beneficial. The immune system utilizes vitamin A and helps keep it from overacting and causing inflammation. It does this by protecting against free radicals.

B vitamins inside carrots can regulate inflammation.

B6 vitamin is an ingredient that is also placed into anti-inflammatory drug capsules. These drugs are issued by doctors to control inflammatory diseases.

B1 vitamin aka thiamine which is also found in beans and liver has been known to cause nerve inflammation if deficient. So luckily it’s present in B vitamin complex.

B2 Vitamin according to PubMed, the US National Library of Medicine Riboflavin or B2 vitamin “deficiency induces a pathological pro-inflammatory response.”

B4 Vitamin, according to Vegan Health.org states that over 310mg of B4 aka choline displays “lower markers of inflammation.” B4 has the highest presence in the carrot among the B vitamins.

B3 Vitamin aka Niacin promotes skin and digestive health which is very relevant when dealing with psoriasis. It also counters dementia, cholesterol,  atherosclerosis, heart issues, ect.

Live Science sites the University of Maryland Medical Center. “Severe niacin deficiency can cause inflamed or flakey skin.”

B5 or pantothenic acid, promotes healthy skin and hair as well good digestion and the creation of cells. B5 is anti-inflammatory and is excellent for keeping the immune system healthy.

C vitamin is the most awesome vitamin in the world. Subjectively speaking of course but seriously. Vitamin C can preform miracles. Halting inflammation is one of them. This is because vitamin C act’s as an electron gift giver.

The vitamin C found in carrots can not only slow illness, but it can also turn illness around 180 degrees. This works because vitamin C gives plenty of electrons to where they are needed and that includes giving some to the life sucking free radicals.

But why surrender electrons to the enemy? Because, by giving electrons to free radicals, they receive all they can carry. This encumbers the free radicals and discourages them from stealing electrons from other sources from your body.

So as a excellent perk, vitamin C counters illness. It does this by fixing oxidative damage. Damage where free radicals are to blame. Free radicals can cause devastating inflammation issues, but Vitamin C not only prevent it… it can reverse inflammation too.

E vitamin inside carrots controls inflammation because of it’s antioxidant attributes. Antioxidants guard cells from free radicals and decrease inflammation simultaneously.

Vitamin E  and vitamin C can be considered good friends because they get along when they are both present. The two complement each other, thus reducing inflammation by increasing each others attributes. Vitamin C and E are both present in carrots making it a powerful vegetable.

Minerals vs. Vitamins

One of the main differences between vitamins and minerals is vitamins are organic. And minerals are inorganic.

Because vitamins are organic they originate from plants and animals. Minerals are inorganic solids and originate from soil or earth but are obtained through plants and animals. Both are natural occurring.

Vitamins can also be broken down further from their existing chemical compound. Heat, acid, air and the reaction to other compounds make the chemical break down possible. Edible minerals can’t be broken down any further because they exist as an element (simplest form of substance) and not a compound (combination of two or more elements in a well ordered, natural occurring chemical structure). Essential minerals are basically a handful of raw elements on the periodic table. Also known as dietary minerals or dietary elements.

Just like some vitamins, some dietary minerals are ideal in just trace amounts of consumption. And similar to some vitamins some minerals are more beneficial if consumed in a more generous amount.

Another similarity some dietary minerals share with vitamins is the ability to be stored in the human body.

  • Zinc – Immune and digestive health.
  • Iron – Trace amounts are good. Deficiency = inflammation.
  • Magnesium- Abundance is good. Deficiency = inflammation.
  • Calcium – Battles obesity. Fatty cells common with psoriasis.
  • Phosphorus – Filters waste and toxins.
  • Sodium – Trace amounts needed for fluid balance.
  • Potassium – Flushes excessive sodium reducing inflammation.

  1. Thanks for writing this article on how to cure psoriasis with carrots. You really tried in this article after doing your findings and research on carrots,i find every part of the article informative and educative because never for once have I think about carrots as a natural remedies to cure psoriasis after I have use drug to cure it, is still coming back over time. I will try out carrots and see how well it works

    • Hi thanks for the comment. Remember. Most diseases are deficiency related as well as a toxicity related.

The body doesn’t get enough of what it does need, (deficiency).

Or the body gets too much of what it doesn’t need, (toxicity).

The vitamins and minerals in carrots and in other healthy foods is what our body desires and needs desperately. To deny the body nutrients is to starve it of good health. The opposite of healthy is diseased or poor health.

Toxins present in foods we don’t need can cause the problems the good foods are trying to solve.

Read the other parts of my website or get my eBook.

  2. The benefits of taking carrots, just as numerous are plenteous. I also believe that curing most illnesses whether they distort the skin or not, must start from the inside out if it would be a true cure.

So, on that note, I would also recommend the eating of carrots to cure psoriasis, seeing that the fruit is anti inflammatory.

    • Yes very true. Most diseases come from the inside out. If there is a problem outside then there’s usually a problem inside too. It’s refreshing to hear from people that get it.

  3. I have a grandson who has suffered from psoriasis since he was a child. We tried out so many things over the years from creams, ointments, diet, even counseling. The only thing that seemed to be effective was the diet. All the rest did not dissipate the problem and some made it worse.

This is the first time I am reading about carrots as an element for curing psoriasis, however. I was doing a search to get the latest news because we now have a young granddaughter that is showing signs as well, and we want to be proactive before it progresses.

I have read through this a couple of times and now will forward it to my wife so she can get it to my daughter, which has the daughter (complicated, huh?). There is no doubt that we will be following your advice on this, and I look forward to seeing how this helps the granddaughter’s problem to go away! Thanks for this useful article, it has helped a lot!

    • Haha not complicated at all. I’m glad you are being proactive with your grand daughters skin. That is the best way to combat any disease really. I’m sure her skin will be fine so as long as you help and educate them to eat right.

Make sure to read the main sections of this website because that will teach you the core fundamentals or download my eBook to read offline. It’s called How to Remedy Psoriasis Naturally.

Thanks for the comment. I’ll pray for your grand kids tonight only because I’ll probably forget about them tomorrow.

  4. Alright, I would like to say here that I have never really seen carrot to have this much health benefits not to talk of carrots being a cure for Psoriasis and it’s interesting to know it has this much benefits. You said something about including carrots in your diet consistently but you didn’t specify the quantity we are to digest in a day or is there no such thing as eating too much of carrots?

    • It’s all about portioning really. I’m not a doctor or nutritionist so I can’t recommend an exact amount that you as an individual should take. But I do know if you want to eat the proper amount personally and for you only, then it would probably be best to research further. I do know it has to do with body weigh, age, whether other conditions are present.

Eating an extra carrot as a second helping aint gonna kill you. Eating 100 carrots in one sitting or eating none ever would not be beneficial either.

As I said in my article. Carrots can help with your ailment but their “gonna need some help.” Meaning their one piece to the small puzzle.

  5. Good Morning Drake,

I read on About Drake Brooks that you were addicted to a lot of Diet Soda. You filled up with Aspartame. It is crazy it has not yet been forbidden. Let’s face it if the population were healthy Big Pharma and the FDA could roll up their business.

You wrote a really good post. It comes down to skip man-made foods as there all the danger is. Deli meats have added Nitrates to make the meat look pink, it is bad for your health. Sugar, you will find it everywhere, it has more than 50 different names. The best you can do is make your own Gluten free bread. Yes, the Brain Grain book by Dr. Perlmutter is good. I eat Himalayan salt every day and use it also for cooking.as it is free of added chemicals. Man-made foods are bad for us as we make it with GMO products which have been sprayed with pesticides.

We  live in a crazy world and would do good to go back to nature. That would mean to reeducate our tastebuds but it would do wonders for our health

    Regards, Taetske.

    • Thank you for your insight. Yes the aspartame found in diet coke and many other bad eating habits did a number on my skin back in the day. Thank God those days are over though because now I have my skin back.

You are one of the many people that are seeing big pharma for what it is.

A cured patent is a lost customer to them.
