problem.

 

1. Raymond Francis, M. Sc. – who wrote, Never Be Sick Again. “There is only one disease,” and that one disease is called “Malfunctioning Cells. Cells only malfunction for two reasons: Toxicity and Deficiency.”

 

2. John Pagano, D. C. – who wrote, Healing Psoriasis.dr. pagano-program book-review cure psoriasis Psoriasis is considered the “leaky gut syndrome, the workload for the kidneys and liver becomes so great that the body has to eliminate waste through the skin.”

What is Psoriasis?

To understand how to cure psoriasis, you must understand the problem. In this case, the skin is not operating the way it normally operates; it’s doing something else, something out of the normal. They diagnosed this skin disorder as psoriasis.

So what is psoriasis? Psor/o means [itchy] and -aisis means the [state of] or [process of]. Psoriasis is the state of being itchy. It’s defined as an autoimmune disorder in which the epidermis produces an excessive amount of cells. Patches of skin become occupied by lesions of plaques and red or silvery scales. It usually occurs on the scalp, knees, elbows, and hands, but can appear anywhere else on the body.

The supposed problem is that the skin cells are being attacked by the body’s lymphocytes aka immune cells. The lymphocytes attack healthy skin cells thus shortening the life of the skin cell which causes more cells to produce faster in its place. This cycle ends with flaking dead skin and then it repeats.

What is causing Psoriasis?

Medical science claims that it is “not fully known” on what causes the lymphocytes to act up and they claim they don’t know how to cure psoriasis.

We know that psoriasis attacks the skin cells, but what’s causing them to attack the skin cells? We know that lymphocytes are the body’s white blood cells with a purpose to fight off foreign substances, viruses, bacteria, and infection. So why are they attacking skin cells?

According to Doctor John Pagano, the body is attempting to rid itself of toxins via sweat glands in the skin. If this is so, could the flakes of skin be excess toxins being shredded away like any other toxin release mechanism? This may also explain why the t-cells attack the skin cells to the point of inflammation. So what causes cells to malfunction and become unhealthy? I think biochemist; Raymond Francis answers this question best in his book Never be Sick Again. “Cells malfunction for two reasons.”

 

1. Toxicity: Too much toxin intake.

2. Deficiency: Not enough nutritional intake.

Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation is a type of yoga in the morning sunlight. It is a Beautiful way to get sunlight in the morning; give it it’s not too early to where the sun hasn’t even come up yet. Knowing how to salute to the sun to cure psoriasis is a easy and fun morning routine.

Yoga in the morning sunlight is considered a stretching exercise that only lasts a few minutes and gives greeting to the start of a beautiful new day. Saluting to the Sun is considered “being grateful for what we have” type of exercise, and a “stress release” type of exercise.

Stretch postures and poses are the bases of Surya Namaskar and are usually done five times each, so a total of five sets. Beginners do less and veterans do more, it’s all on preference.  The main point is to get a quick little stretch and exercise going while basking in the sunlight. Sunlight, anti-stress, grounding, and physical exercise can all cure psoriasis. All four work against psoriasis in the end so you are practically killing four birds with one stone so to speak.

If you can’t do yoga in the morning sunlight, try to do it in the late afternoon sunlight. Follow the sequence below and always have fun.


Mountain Pose

Stand in the Tadasana position, or Mountain Pose. Touch both your big toes together and heels about an inch apart. Have middle toes facing forward. Breath deep and slow. Find your center. Keep both arms hanging by your sides with both palms facing forward. Close your eyes if you like. Throw your shoulders back and try to touch your shoulder blades together. Keep breathing deep and slow.

Upward Salute

2.Second, stretch your arms out to the sides in a 90 degree angle, slowly raising them over your head and having them stretch straight up trying to touch the clouds. This is called Urdhva Hastasana or Upward Salute. Reach your fingertips into the skies, send your greeting to the sun with all your heart. Inhale deep and think “thank-you.”

Standing Forward Bend

3. Third, while exhaling slow dive your hands in front of you and then onto the ground. Stretch by trying to touch the ground.  If you can touch the ground good, if you can’t touch the ground yet just grab your legs for now. This is called Uttanasana or Standing Forward Bend. Try to keep your legs straight and let you head dangle and relax.

4. Forth, as you inhale deeply and from where you already are just look up in front of you. Keep your hands on the floor and extend your spine with your forward gaze. This is called Ardha Uttanasana or Half Forward Bend. It is like the Standing Forward Bend Position but with your head looking up and straight instead of relaxing.

5. Next, exhale slowly and lightly, hop or step your feet back way behind you into a push-up position or Plank Pose your palms should still be flat on the ground and your arms straight. Legs and arms should be hip length apart.

Chaturanga Dandasana

6. Then exhale slow and deep as you lower yourself into Chaturanga Dandasana. Keep your legs straight and your body close to the ground by bending your arms next to your stomach. (Like a push-up but with you elbows touching your rib cage.) Try to keep your body strait and flat never dipping your shoulders or hips unevenly. If  you can’t do this on your toes try doing it on you knees.

7. Now inhale slow and deep as you ark your chest forward and your pelvis down into Urdhva Mukha Svanasana or Upward Dog. (Simulating going under a fence to escape the cops but as if you didn’t want to get your clothes dirty.) Bring your shoulders up and make your elbows lock straight. Your palms should remain on the ground and your toes should be stretched out behind you.

8. Moving forward, exhale slow and deep and step forward with both hands still on the ground bringing your butt high into the air. This is called Adho Mukha Svanasana or Downward Dog Pose. Remain for several deep breaths.

It attacks the body’s own tissue and doesn’t turn off or go away. Chronic inflammation continues to be activated because something within the body is keeping it activated. All types of mechanisms, mechanical or biological, if left operational for long periods of time, it may cause devastating problems eventually.

The Anti-Inflammatory Vitamins in Cucumbers

A Vitamin. Cucumbers contain small amounts of vitamin A. Tiny amounts that are still very beneficial. The immune system uses vitamin A for many functions. One utilization is it helps keep the body from overacting with excessive inflammation. It does this by fighting against free radicals.

C vitamin protects the body from damage as an antioxidant. It does this by donating electrons that neutralize free radicals. This in turn reduces plasma levels of inflammatory mediators thus reducing body inflammation all together.

We know that chronic inflammation is terrible for the body. And as stated in my book, How to Remedy Psoriasis Naturally, we know that toxicity, such as excessive free radicals, as well as nutrient deficiency instigates inflammation.

Huge overloads of free radicals can cause major oxidative damage and devastating inflammation issues. Luckily, vitamin C counters free radicals and can even fix oxidative damage.

K vitamin, exclusively known for it’s key role in helping with blood clot formation. It’s special ability helps to prevent bleeding in excess. But it also reduces inflammatory markers. The latter benefits us more in this case.

Over indulging in meat and various junk foods causes extreme acidity in the blood stream. The aftermath of eating too much acidic foods can cause heart problems, organ problems, and skin problems such as skin inflammation AKA psoriasis.

So as a golden rule for eating extremely healthy meals for the purpose of learning then knowing how to cure psoriasis. It is ideal to eat a 80/20 balanced diet. Eating a fresh cucumber or two during a meal is an excellent side dish or even main dish. This is how to cure psoriasis folks.

Minerals vs. Vitamins

One of the main differences between minerals and vitamins is vitamins are organic. And minerals are inorganic.

Because vitamins are organic they originate from animals and plants. Minerals are inorganic solids and originate from atmosphere, soil or earth but are obtained through the plant and animal kingdoms. Both are naturally occurring.

Vitamins can also be broken down further from their existing chemical compound. Air, acid, heat and the reaction to other compounds make the chemical break down possible. Some edible minerals can’t be broken down any further because they exist as an element (simplest form of substance) and not a compound (combination of two or more elements in a well ordered, natural occurring chemical structure).

Essential minerals are basically a handful of raw elements on the periodic table or their compounds connected with each other. Also known as dietary minerals or dietary elements. Some elements bond with each other such as Carbon with Hydrogen or oxygen ect. We catbolize these elements after consumption.

Just like some vitamins, some dietary minerals are ideal in just trace amounts of digestion. And similar to some vitamins, some minerals are more beneficial if consumed in a more generous amount.

Another similarity several dietary minerals share with vitamins is the ability to be stored in the human body.

Minerals in Cucumbers vs. Inflammation

Keeping the body hydrated at 95 percent water.  Cucumbers still pack a lot of vitamins and a lot of minerals.

  • Manganese – Reduces inflammation as an antioxidant.
  • Magnesium- Abundance is good. Deficiency = inflammation.
  • Potassium – Flushes excessive sodium reducing inflammation.
  • Iron – Trace amounts are good. Deficiency = inflammation.
  • Sodium – Trace amounts needed for fluid balance.
  • Calcium – Fights obesity. Fatty cell common with psoriasis.

Final Wrap

The cucumber is a terrific anti-oxidant and is perfect for healing the skin, just in case you were wondering how to cure psoriasis. Eat plenty of them.

Just remember not to eat any counteractive ingredients which I discuss on my “Don’t List.” It is also imperative that you follow the “Do List.” Because let’s face it, just eating the healthy cucumber here and there is not gonna cut it folks. Give the body what else it needs because it needs a lot.

Eating a couple here and there, I would have to sometimes peel them first because some suppliers put wax on the skin to keep them looking fresh and appealing. Even though the skin contains high amounts of fiber and vitamins. The wax could cause problems in the long run.

You can remove the wax by soaking them in apple cider vinegar for a few minutes and then rinse off the cider under cold running water or just leave the cider on.  If it has wax then this is my preferred technique.

Or just peal most of the skin off. Eat some or leave some.

So peeled or not peeled, you can eat them whole or sliced. No need to add any seasoning because they taste delicious as is.Homade cucumber recipe for psoriasis

Eating plenty of cucumbers reduces acidity and inflammation because of the nutrients it carries as mentioned in my lists and book.

Now you know to buy plenty of this delicious food from the produce section and try to eat them through out your week. They are usually sold at descent prices. I live in south Texas and cucumbers are sold here at HEB or Walmart for three for one dollar. What a steal! That’s way cheaper than prescription medicine.

Psych Yourself Out To Go Jogging

Mankind has been jogging since the dawn of time. Back in the day, we used to jog more often then not.
Nowadays, we simply don’t jog at all. We drive everywhere. And it’s not good for our health or our skin.
It’s time to get back in the groove and use our legs, our lungs, and our heart to get our skin to sweat out all those nasty toxins.

Get excited, because you are about to join the few amounts of people that actually jog to get their cardio in.

Ever see that person running on the side of the road? Ever have respect for that person because they are trying to get or stay in shape? Well that person is going to be you. When people see you jogging on the side of the road, through the woods, or on the beach, they are going to think the word “respect.”

You don’t need fancy shoes or top of the line running pants. But if you want to go out and buy expensive running gear. Be my guest.
The way I see it is, if you go out and invest in good jogging gear, then it shows that you will be less likely to quit due to the amount of money you’ve already invested into yourself.

But if your mind is already set and you find yourself wanting to go run no matter what. If you don’t care about top quality running gear and what to save some cash. You can shop at the local thrift store or flea markets and get a cheap pair of running shoes and running pants for 2 bucks or less. Who cares about the shirt, just wear an old punk rock shirt and jog in that.

Do you have a place in mind? There are many places to go run. One of my favorite places to go jog was in my old neighborhood. I would drive there and park. There was this neighborhood block that was exactly one mile. I know because I drove around that block and marked the odometer at beginning and at end.

On some days my goal was to jog twice around the block. And some other days my goal was to jog once. Depending on how I felt. “One is better than none,” I always told myself. Hell, some days I would jog three or more times around.
Places To Go Jog:

– Neighborhood

– City Lake

– Woods

– Beach

– Downtown

Time To Stretch

It would totally suck if you made all the preparations to go run, psych yourself out, buy running gear, scout out the scene, and start jogging just to pull a muscle on the first lap. Let’s not let that happen because that would totally suck.
How I stretch before I run:
– Hamstring Stretch

– Groin Stretch

– Quadriceps Stretch

– Calves Stretch

– Triceps Stretch

– Lateral Flexation Stretch

– Neck Extention Stretch

– Neck Lateral Stretch

Ease Into a Good Run

In the beginning it is best to just do two miles, you will probably walk more than jog and that’s fine. This is OK for starters but eventually you will want to keep going without stopping until you cross the finish line. I will teach you how to do this it’s easy. Just follow the steps below.
Without further ado let’s begin.

FIRST MILE:

1. Start walking at normal walking speed for one minute and breathe deep.

Do this to warm your body and get the blood flowing. It will slightly increase your heart rate and prepare your body for the jog.

 

2. Begin a light jog. “Slow Jog

Jog slower than normal walking speed and breathe real deep. I call this “Slow Jog.” The trick is to go real slow and breathe real deep. Some people forget to breathe right, they lose their breaths and don’t get very far. They quit after that. Don’t let that come to be, always remember to breathe and breathe deep.

Jog slower than you can walk. This is the pace you will learn to jog and be comfortable. This is also the pace you will resort back to instead of walking when you start to become fatigued. See if you can finish the first mile in this pace. If you can’t finish the mile it’s cool, just walk the rest.

Eventually you will want to get comfortable in Slow Jog. It is possible to learn how to breathe comfortably in this state without stopping. Slow Jog pace is simple and easy just go as slow as possible and breathe deep. Remember the trick is to go real slow, slower than you can walk and always breathe real deep while doing it.

Eventually finishing the first lap will come to be, and since you’re first starting out, take a break, drink some water and keep breathing deep. Some people put their hands on their heads because it opens their lungs up. Try not to sit down or put your hands on your knees. Keep your head and chin up and keep breathing.

I say, “keep breathing” a lot because some people forget to breathe and actually hold their breaths. I’m not kidding. When I would train friends to run with me, sometimes I would literally catch them not breathing by holding their breaths. We do weird things when fatigued.

 

SECOND MILE:

3. Continue Jogging at Slow Jog.

Breathe deep, and keep jogging nice and slow for a few minutes. Remember, Slow Jog is considered slower than normal walking. Try to keep your breath by breathing slow and deep. Try to get comfortable and tell yourself you can stay at this pace indefinitely.

This is the pace you will eventually resort back to instead of stopping or walking. Slow Jog will be used the majority of the time as sort of a cruse control option. It is very convenient if you want to catch your breath by not walking or stopping.

4. When you are ready, start to increase your speed until you get at a comfortable pace that’s faster than Slow Jog. I call this Normal Jog. Normal Jog is the pace you will start getting a good sweat going. Try to go at this pace for about one minute in the beginning or until you start to become fatigued.

After one minute of jogging at Normal Jog, you will probably start to become tired. Don’t stop. Just reduce your speed back down to Slow Jog and catch your breath while jogging in Slow Jog pace. Concentrate on breathing. Catch your breath in Slow Jog. Get comfortable in Slow Jog by jogging real slow and breathing real deep.

Catch your breathe in Slow Jog. Increase your pace again back to Normal Jog. Once you get tired, reduce your pace back down to Slow Jog, slower than walking. Repeat this sequence. Take it to the end. You can do it if you relax and always remember to breathe deep.

 

Final Thoughts

I am positive you will get the hang of jogging. It is possible to do it with ease and without stopping. Hell, you may even increase your speed to Full Running Sprints. You may even live in Full Running Sprints until you reduce your speed back down to Slow Jog or even Normal Jog for breaks. It is possible to start getting in real good work outs. This is how you heal your psoriasis in due time.

So can jogging cure psoriasis? “In the long run.” =) Pun intended.
